HOW TO STAY FOCUSED WHEN CUTTING WEIGHT BEFORE YOUR NEXT MMA FIGHT,
WITHOUT JEOPARDIZING YOUR PREPARATION

  1. Maintain Body Language

Your body language reveals your feelings and meanings to others but most importantly to

your own self. Your body language leads to how you communicate to yourself, which than

leads to your thoughts, emotions and actions. Most certainly you can bring up the memory of

your body language when you had a great training and you can do same thing when you had a

bad training.

“Body language is the unconscious and conscious transmission and interpretation of feelings,

attitudes, and moods, through:

  • Body posture, movement, physical state, position and relationship to other bodies,

objects and surroundings,

  • Facial expression and eye movement,

(and this transmission and interpretation can be quite different to the spoken words).”

  1. Incantation

Incantations are more powerful than well-known affirmation, as with incantation you are

engaging your physiology (body language) with the empowering phrase or phrases. The idea

behind them is that if you repeatedly say an empowering phrase to yourself again and again,

your mind will start to believe it. This would work same for negative phrases. Incantations

should be added to your daily routine.

  1. Visualisation

Visualization is one of the most powerful techniques to create images in your mind of having,

doing or being whatever you want. You should repeat the process of visualization over and

over again, daily for about 5- 10 min. Few tips on how to visualize: make sure you bring the

image in present tens as you already having it, doing it or being.

Here’s the special strategy that people don’t tell you that it actually makes cutting weight

90% of your achievement comes from your mental preparation. It is usually time consuming

to focus on both mental and physical preparation. Most of the times it takes years to learn it

and even longer to apply.

That’s crazy! Why should you wait for that long … take that much risk … and then LOSE in the

process? It’s the opposite of creating success.

If you agree with our unconventional thinking, I’m glad you made it to this page.

Because you’re about to learn why most athletes struggle to maintain the Focus when cutting

weight for the fight …

… and how you can avoid that challenge.

What Most Athletes are Doing Wrong!

If you want to get the best results at something, you need to learn how to do it well.

Think of any sport. The athletes who perform the best are the ones achieving the most, right?

Yet when it comes to the world of sport… very few athletes know how to do business in a way

that creates success.

If you’re like most athletes who start a sport, you’re probably good at performing.

But being good at performing isn’t nearly enough if you don’t know how to “do” the ‘business’

itself – if you can’t execute the basics of building success through sport.

Imagine playing basketball without knowing the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and

shooting. You wouldn’t be able to get success playing the sport…would you?

A Warning If You Already in sport

Now if you’re thinking, “But I am an athlete. I obviously understand what to do” … let’s get

something straight.

If your sport is nothing more than hobby that you’ve created for yourself … you’re almost as

far away from creating achievement as the person still training for fun. Bottom line, your

sport is failing you as a achievement creation vehicle if:

  • You’re struggling to maintain a consistent success
  • You’re training 12, 14, or 16 times a week… yet not seeing a corresponding results
  • You worry about how you’re going to perform at the next event
  • You don’t have a clear-cut exit plan that rewards you handsomely for your sacrifice
  • You aren’t consistently and predictably generating big results

There we have it, above I outlined step by step 3 point check list to maintain focus when

cutting weight during preparation for fight.
